Production Engineer

Job Description
• Responsible for process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support to the plant
• Assist in developing a business plan for the manufacturing area assigned to
• Assist with the quote process for new projects
• Provide technical support for maintenance and production
• Assure adherence to the TS-16949 plant and company procedures
• Support continuous improvement activities for the plant’s assembly & test departments which include lean manufacturing initiatives
• Develop and prepare capital projects for the plant area
Required Skills
• Mechanical or equivalent Engineering Majored
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated history of increasing productivity in an foundry environment
• Ability and desire to provide daily “hands-on” floor support
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent time management skills with a sense of urgency
Required Experience
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
• Automotive experience in a high volume machining environment a plus
