19일 정기총회서 선출…부회장엔 김상민목사
애틀랜타한인교회협의회(회장 남궁전 목사, 이하 교협)정기총회가 19일(목) 오전 11시 코람데오장로교회에서 열렸습니다.

김성범 목사의 사회로 시작된 예배는 평신도 부회장인 송지성장로의 기도에 이어 백성봉 목사가 ‘다른 이름은 없다’의 제목으로 설교했습니다.
이어 남궁전 목사의 사회로 시작된 2부 회무처리에서는 차기 임원 선거를 실시해 백성봉 목사 (코람데오장로교회)가 회장으로 김성민 목사(훼이트빌 제일침례교회)가 부회장에 선출됐습니다.
교협의 차기회장으로 활동하게 된 백성봉 목사는 “코로나 팬데믹상황 속에 하나님의 뜻을 구하며 한인커뮤니티에 덕과 유익을 끼치며 열심히 일해 나가겠다”며 “각 교단에서 임원단을 구성해 함께 이어려운 상황을 헤쳐나가고 교협정관에 충실한 한해가 되도록 노력하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔습니다.
한편 차기 회장단은 12월 중 집행부를 구성하고 내년1월23일 시온연합감리교회에서 열리는 사업총회를 통해 인준을 받을 예정입니다. 애틀랜타한인교회협의회 회장의 임기는 1년입니다.
