이번 웨비나에 참석한 김영준 총영사는 환영사를 통해 한미·조지아간 무역 및 투자 확대 동향과 한국시장의 장점 및 중요성에 관해 의견을 피력했습니다.
또한 조지아경제개발부 한국사무소의 피터 언더우드 대표와 이승훈 무역담당관이 강사로 나서 한국의 경제·사회·문화 전반에 대해 설명하면서 특히 한미·조지아간 무역·투자 확대방안에 관해 얘기했습니다.
한편 같은 날 오후 애틀랜타총영사관은 애틀랜타 국제문제협의회(World Affairs Council of Atlanta)와 공동으로 미 대선 이후 한반도 정책을 전망해보는 웨비나(화상회의)를 개최했습니다.
이번 웨비나에서는 김영준 총영사가 환영사를 하고 마크 리퍼트 (Mark Lippert) 전 주한미국대사와 마이클 그린(Michael J. Green) 조지타운대 교수가 강사로 나서 ‘한미관계의 공고화 방안’ 및 ‘북핵문제 해결전망’ 등에 관해 의견을 교환했습니다.
