브라이언 켐프 주지사가 주공중보건 비상사태를 오는 1월 8일까지로 연장하는 행정명령에 서명했습니다. 비지니스 관련 코로나 19 규제 지침도 오는 15일까지로 연장했습니다.
켐프 주지사가 지난달 30일 서명한 이번 행정명령에는 주내 백신 보급이 실행될 시 간호사와 약사들이 백신을 접종할 수 있도록 하는 내용이 포함돼 있습니다. 백신접종을 위한 드라이브 스루 설치 방식 또한 언급됐습니다. 또 백신접종을 실시한 간호사나 약사는 접종을 마친 환자를 15분간 관찰하도록 했습니다.
이날 켐프 주지사는 연방식품의약청(FDA)이 백신 긴급 사용을 승인하면 이달 둘째 주나 셋째 주 의료 종사자들부터 백신 접종을 받을 수 있을 것이라 밝혔습니다. 이어 너싱홈 등 장기요양시설에 대한 백신 접종 계획도 가지고 있다며 주전역 160여곳 시설 중 95% 이상이 이번 계획에 포함돼 있다고 덧붙였습니다.
켐프 주지사는 또한 지난 추수감사절 연휴 기간 이동을 하거나 모임을 가졌던 조지아 주민들은 이번 주 반드시 코로나 19 검사를 받을 것을 권고했습니다.
주보건국 자료에 따르면 현재 조지아주의 일일 평균 신규확진자수와 잠재적 확진자수는 3000명 이상으로 누적사망자는 잠재적 사망자 포함 9500명에 달하고 있습니다. 특히 학령기 아동들의 감염률은 주보건국이 연령대별 조사를 실시한 이래 지난주 최고치를 기록한 것으로 나타났습니다.
